a fourth part and recorded it as a male quartet.

1. Gabriel came to Mary innocent and mild.
He told her she was chosen to bear that holy child.
This troubled Mary deeply. She did not understand.
But she said that she was ready to follow God's command.

When the heavens tore wide open. It gave them quite a fright.
But the angels said, "Be happy!" for unto you is born
God's holy child. They left their sheep and ran off into town.

The jailers had them shackled because he was in charge.
But an angel opened everything; the jailer cried in fear.
So Paul told him, "Be ready!" when the angels come 'round here.
